Staff Pharmacist in Peridot, AZ
An experienced pharmacist is needed to provide expertise in both inpatient/ER and outpatient pharmacy settings at a clinic and hospital environment. This role supports pharmacy services in Peridot, AZ, with flexible schedules over a 13+ week contract, ideal for professionals seeking local or travel assignments.
Location: Peridot, AZ
Schedule:
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
- Variable shift times including day, night, swing, and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards
- Develop and monitor operational and financial performance measures integrating quality improvement initiatives
- Implement and evaluate departmental policies, procedures, and service delivery improvements
- Lead staff development and provide timely feedback to support professional growth and performance standards
- Manage and optimize inventory control, purchasing, and pharmacy dispensing systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate staff training, onboarding, and continuing education to maintain current competency levels
- Prepare monthly operational reports highlighting key performance areas and recommendations
- Participate in hospital and departmental educational programs and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years professional pharmacy experience with at least 2 years in management
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD and 1 year residency preferred
- Current, unrestricted pharmacy license (Arizona preferred)
- ACLS certification required; PALS certification can be obtained onsite within first month of hire
- BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Systems Experience:
- ScriptPro with SP200 Robot
- RPMS Electronic Health Record, transitioning to a new EHR system
