Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist in Philadelphia, PA

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Home Infusion Pharmacist to support sterile compounding operations in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves preparing customized sterile medications including IV fluids within a controlled, aseptic environment to ensure the highest patient safety standards.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Contract Duration:

• Minimum 8 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounded medications following strict aseptic techniques and USP standards
• Verify accuracy and safety of sterile medication preparations before distribution
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including USP <797> and <800>
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians in the compounding area
• Maintain cleanroom equipment and environment to meet quality control guidelines
• Perform final inspections on compounded sterile preparations to ensure quality and safety

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Minimum 1 year of recent sterile compounding experience, particularly in home infusion settings
• Proficient computer skills to manage documentation and inventory systems
• Strong knowledge of USP regulations and sterile compounding best practices
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
