Staff Pharmacist | Pinson, Alabama

A retail pharmacist opportunity is available for PRN / per diem temporary coverage starting November 1, 2026, for approximately two months, with potential for extension. This role involves providing periodic support during the absence of the regular pharmacist at a pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. The schedule is flexible and will be coordinated based on pharmacist availability.

Schedule:

• Monday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Provide counseling and answer medication-related questions for patients
• Collaborate with pharmacy technician on daily tasks
• Manage daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license in good standing with no disciplinary history
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience
• Experience with PioneerRx is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently within a retail pharmacy environment
