Retail Staff Pharmacist - Pollok, TX

A retail pharmacist position is available to provide maternity leave coverage from December 2026 through February 2027 in Pollok, TX. This contract opportunity offers flexible scheduling with two available shifts in a community pharmacy setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Store hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 1st Shift: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (flexible to work shorter hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM 4:00 PM)
• 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (flexible options: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Model core company values consistently and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies including HIPAA.
• Perform final verification of prescriptions from authorized prescribers.
• Counsel patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintain quality assurance procedures, security of controlled substances, and proper hazardous waste disposal.
• Manage pharmacy phone communications including answering calls and retrieving voicemail messages.
• Resolve customer conflicts in person or over the phone.
• Note: This location does not administer vaccinations or conduct medication therapy management (MTM).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting.
• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license.
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX software.
