Staff Pharmacist - Portsmouth, Virginia

A direct-hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Newport News, VA. This role is ideal for pharmacists with recent experience who are ready to contribute to high-quality medication management in an LTC setting. Key responsibilities include verifying prescriptions (PV1 and PV2), accurately filling medications, and maintaining compliance with regulations in a high-volume environment processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily. The pharmacy uses the Frameworks software system, and training is provided for candidates unfamiliar with this platform.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
• Rotating weekends required

Desired Qualifications:

• Virginia pharmacist license, clear and active (required)
• Recent pharmacy practice experience
• LTC pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
• Open to new graduates seeking hands-on pharmacy roles
