Inpatient IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist - Reidsville, North Carolina

This opportunity offers a critical role within a hospital pharmacy environment focused on inpatient medication management. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will oversee all facets of the medication-use process to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications. This position is contract to hire, initially spanning 13 weeks with potential for extension or direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate medication preparation and dispensing processes, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Verify and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
• Maintain medication inventory, including overseeing cart fills and controlled substance management.
• Lead and support pharmacy technical staff in daily operations.
• Provide timely drug information and administration guidance to nursing staff.
• Utilize Epic EHR and Dispense Prep systems alongside Omnicell automation technology to optimize workflow.

Schedule Options:

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with varying start times (7:30 am4:00 pm; 9:00 am5:30 pm; or 1:30 pm10:00 pm), including rotating weekends every third week.
• Alternatively, a 7-on, 7-off schedule with 10-hour shifts from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license.
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Competency with sterile compounding following USP 797 and USP 800 hazardous drug standards.
• Familiarity with Epic EHR and Epic Dispense Prep systems.
• Experience with Omnicell dispensing technology and Intelliguard RFI systems.
• Knowledge of Hospital At Home pharmacy services is a plus.
