IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Staff Pharmacist in Reidsville, NC

This opportunity is ideal for a Clinical Pharmacist skilled in inpatient hospital settings, eager to contribute to medication management within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will play a key role supporting a hospitalist provider team by promoting optimal medication therapies, utilizing drug dosing protocols with lab result evaluations, and providing expert consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and verify medication orders entered by providers, ensuring they align with individualized patient needs.
• Prepare and dispense medications efficiently according to established standards and policies.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily pharmacy activities.
• Document clinical care thoroughly in progress notes or pharmacy handoffs.
• Provide medication-related information and counseling to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public.
• Support transitions of care and medication management alongside the hospitalist team.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, rotating shifts on a 6-week cycle: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM and 1:30 PM 10:00 PM.
• Rotation includes every 4th weekend.
• 13-week assignment with potential to convert to direct hire.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required; postgraduate training experience is preferred.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) considered a plus.
• Active North Carolina pharmacy license.
• Strong clinical experience with inpatient hospital pharmacy.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and Epic Dispense Prep systems.
• Experience with Omnicell dispensing technology.
• Demonstrated critical pharmacy-based thinking skills.
