Per Diem Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Rembert, SC

A hospital-based inpatient pharmacist role is available for per diem coverage from September 26th through October 15th, with a mandatory training week starting September 21st. This position supports a 60-bed facility with a current average daily census of approximately 15-20 patients, specializing in inpatient behavioral (psych) care.

Location: Rembert, SC

Schedule:

• Training: Week of September 21st (1 day)
• Sept 26-27: On-call coverage
• Sept 28 Oct 2: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 3-4: On-call
• Oct 5-9: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 10-11: On-call
• Oct 12-15: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• Weekend on-call coverage required; remote answering of questions and order verification as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately
• Refill Omnicell automated dispensing system
• Manage medication orders through Cardinal inventory system
• Provide remote on-call support during weekends as requested

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Active and clear South Carolina pharmacist license
• Familiarity with Wellsky Order Entry System preferred but not required (training provided)
• Experience with Omnicell automation preferred but not required (training provided)
• Ability to work independently, as no other pharmacy staff is on site
