Per Diem Pharmacist in Safety Harbor, FL

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available in Safety Harbor, FL, providing ongoing coverage primarily on designated Fridays with additional occasional Saturday shifts. This role offers flexible scheduling for those interested in supplementing their pharmacy experience in a retail environment.

Location:

• Safety Harbor, Florida

Schedule:

• First Friday of every month, 9:00 AM 12:00 PM (long-term coverage)
• Specific shifts including:
  • June 5 (8:30 AM 12:00 PM, includes 30-minute training)
  • June 30 (10:00 AM 2:00 PM)
  • July 1 (8:30 AM 12:00 PM)
  • July 7 and 8 (10:00 AM 2:00 PM)
• Occasional Saturdays, 9:00 AM 12:00 PM as needed

Responsibilities:

• Verify and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide patient counseling to ensure understanding of medication usage
• Supervise pharmacy technicians throughout the shift
• Manage a prescription volume averaging 40-50 scripts per day, with potential for busier periods up to 100

Qualifications:

• Active Florida pharmacist license required
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist on duty
• Experience with Pioneer Rx software preferred
• Familiarity with nonsterile compounding is advantageous, although direct compounding duties are not required
