Staff Pharmacist | San Bernardino, California

A Specialty/Mail Order Pharmacy in Ontario, CA, seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment with the possibility of temp-to-hire. This full-time role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends off, supporting a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill prescriptions according to practitioner instructions. Conduct clinical drug screenings to prevent negative drug interactions. Counsel patients regarding medication use and potential side effects. Supervise pharmacy technicians, students/interns, and support staff. Communicate professionally and clearly with patients and clinic staff. Maintain accuracy in billing documents and inventory control records. Facilitate safe and efficient medication fulfillment and delivery. Assist in business development and ensure timely service delivery. Participate in annual budget projections and manage operational budgets.

Qualifications: Current, active California Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history. Preferred experience: specialty, mail order, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy. Minimum of one year of retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with patients and clinic staff. High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Analytical skills to ensure safe and effective medication dispensing. Dependable, professional, and comfortable supervising support staff.
