Staff Pharmacist in San Carlos, AZ

A Pharmacy Retail Supervisor position is available in Peridot, AZ, offering a full-time, contract role for 13+ weeks with potential extensions. This opportunity is ideal for candidates local to the area who may transition to a full-time employee, though travelers will be considered.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• One-year residency (PGY1) preferred
• Minimum five years professional pharmacy experience, including at least two years in management
• Two years hospital practice experience preferred
• Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona license preferred)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association that can be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Licensed or licensed-capable to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
• Ability to pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards
• Develop and monitor financial and operational goals, integrating improvements into quality systems
• Lead policy and procedure development for pharmacy functions
• Continuously evaluate and enhance processes and service effectiveness
• Manage staff performance, training, and development
• Oversee inventory and purchasing to maintain cost-effective, timely access to medications
• Implement and monitor pharmacy technology systems ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare reports, track departmental progress, and identify improvement areas
• Participate in orientation, training, and quality assurance initiatives
• Perform additional duties as required
