Staff Pharmacist in San Carlos, AZ

This full-time Pharmacy Retail Supervisor role is based in Peridot, AZ, offering a 13+ week contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position. Candidates local to the area are preferred, but qualified travelers will also be considered. The position involves working Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• One-year residency (PGY1) preferred
• Minimum of five years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least two years in management
• At least three years of pharmacist experience; two years in hospital practice preferred
• Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• Licensed or ability to become licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Develop and monitor financial and operational goals, incorporating continuous improvements
• Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pharmacy functions
• Manage staff performance, training, and development to promote a highly effective team
• Oversee inventory management and purchasing to maintain cost-effective and timely medication supplies
• Implement and monitor pharmacy technician systems for accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare reports and track departmental progress to identify areas for improvement
• Participate in orientation, training, and quality assurance initiatives as needed
