Staff Pharmacist - San Mateo, California

This outpatient pharmacy is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for PRN coverage with ongoing opportunities to support vacation and staffing needs. The role is based in San Mateo, CA, offering a flexible schedule primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with possible weekend shifts, anytime between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper use
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care outcomes
• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and potential interactions
• Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering and restocking medications as needed
• Provide guidance on over-the-counter products and respond to customer inquiries
• Ensure all activities comply with federal and state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications:

• Active and clear California Pharmacist License is required
• Recent pharmacy experience is essential
• Previous experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting is highly desirable
• Flexible availability to cover variable shifts, including potential weekends
