An independent compounding pharmacy in Signal Mountain, TN is seeking a reliable Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage and support ongoing needs in the Chattanooga area. This position focuses on managing an active mail order pharmacy that compounds up to 1,000 prescriptions daily, including specialized post-cataract surgery eye drops.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription filling, and handling phone inquiries
• Provide expert oversight of the mail order eye drop department, which ships three versions of specialized eye drops
• Address and resolve questions or issues that arise during pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Current, active Pharmacist License in good standing with the State of Tennessee
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience; mail order experience preferred but not mandatory
• Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists or recent graduates seeking flexible per diem work
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively supervise staff and manage workflow

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)
• Saturday and Sunday: Closed
