Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Soddy Daisy, Tennessee

A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide coverage for vacation and ongoing needs. This opportunity is ideal for a retired or semi-retired pharmacist, or a recent graduate seeking flexible pharmacy work. The role supports a high-volume operation with approximately 1,000 compounds dispensed daily.

Location: Soddy Daisy, TN (near Chattanooga).

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
• Lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Per Diem availability required for May 27-29 and additional ongoing days as needed

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 5 pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription filling, and customer communication
• Manage and support pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department, which dispenses three formulations of post-cataract surgery eye drops to patients nationwide
• Address questions or concerns from staff or patients to ensure safe and accurate medication delivery

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience, preferably including mail order pharmacy
• Strong supervisory and communication skills
• Dependability and adaptability in supporting a busy compounding pharmacy environment
