Verification Pharmacist Multiple Shifts - Houston, Texas

RPh on the Go is seeking a Verification Pharmacist for a 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity with a compounding pharmacy in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on final verification of compounded prescriptions to ensure accuracy, medication safety, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Candidates must hold an active Texas Pharmacist license and have prior pharmacist experience. Compounding or closed-door pharmacy experience is preferred.

Position Details:

• Location: Houston, TX

• Assignment: 13-Week Temp-to-Perm

• Start Date: ASAP

Available Shifts:

• Day: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM2:30 PM

• Afternoon: MondayFriday, 1:30 PM10:00 PM

• Overnight: SundayThursday, 9:30 PM6:30 AM

• Weekend: ThursdaySunday, 6:00 AM4:30 PM

Candidates should indicate their preferred shift and whether they are open to multiple schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification of compounded prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness

• Review dosing, patient information, drug interactions, formulations, and labeling

• Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies and documentation issues

• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and compounding teams to maintain quality and workflow

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and medication safety standards

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license

• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school

• At least 1 year of pharmacist experience

• Prescription verification experience

• Compounding or closed-door pharmacy experience preferred

• Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, and <800>, TSBP regulations, DEA requirements, and HIPAA

• Ability to work in a high-volume pharmacy environment
