Staff Pharmacist in Sugar Land, TX
This opportunity is designed for an experienced pharmacist ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing within a focused pharmacy environment. The role involves performing final verification of compounded prescriptions, guaranteeing that each prescription meets the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. In addition, you will be responsible for confirming the clinical appropriateness of prescription orders, reviewing dosage accuracy, patient information, drug interactions, and formulation integrity, as well as ensuring proper labeling.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions before dispensing.
- Ensure all prescriptions meet regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Verify prescription orders for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and proper labeling.
- Maintain meticulous records and uphold patient safety protocols in every verification step.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist.
- Preferably experienced in a closed-door pharmacy setting with a strong attention to detail.
