Responsibilities:

• Review and verify veterinary prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded and dispensed medications
• Oversee and support non-sterile compounding operations within the pharmacy
• Ensure prescriptions are prepared, labeled, documented, and dispensed correctly
• Review calculations, ingredients, strengths, dosage forms, and formulations
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and compounding staff
• Communicate with veterinary clinics for prescription clarifications
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Comply with state and federal pharmacy regulations, compounding standards, and internal quality procedures
• Contribute to efficient workflow in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Qualifications:

• Active and good standing New Jersey Pharmacist License (REQUIRED)
• Active and good standing California Pharmacist License (REQUIRED)
• Experience in non-sterile compounding preferred
• Background in compounding, specialty, mail-order, or high-volume pharmacy strongly preferred
• Veterinary pharmacy experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a production-driven setting
• Effective collaboration skills with pharmacy technicians and staff
