Pharmacist Animal Pharmacy Retail Experience Bakersfield,CA

We are seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacist for a full-time temporary opportunity in Bakersfield, CA. This assignment will run through July 2026 with the potential for permanent placement. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a specialized pharmacy setting, expand your compounding expertise, and join a team focused on quality patient care.

Retail pharmacists will also be considered. If selected, they will support the pharmacy in a temporary role focused on dispensing functions

Duties

Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes
Perform final verification of prescriptions for accuracy and safety
Fill, label, and prepackage medications
Communicate with providers regarding new orders, clarifications, and refills
Counsel patients and answer medication-related questions
Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Maintain high standards for accuracy, safety, and workflow efficiency
Schedule / Shift

Monday Friday
8:15 AM 5:15 PM
Full-time hours through July 2026
Requirements

PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
Active California Pharmacist license
35 years of pharmacy experience (compounding preferred)
Retail pharmacy experience will be considered
Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Compensation

$70$74 per hour
