Per Diem Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist in Thomasville, NC

An immediate need exists for an experienced pharmacist to provide specialized support in home infusion services. This per diem contract opportunity is based in Greensboro, NC, with the potential to transition into a permanent position. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and verifying medication orders specific to infusion therapies
• Supervising the preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP standards
• Delivering clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
• Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and uphold patient safety
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all regulatory requirements

Schedule and Location:

• Immediate coverage needed from April 27 to May 1, with availability requested for as many days as possible during this period

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy settings
• Proficient in sterile compounding with strong knowledge of USP guidelines

Additional Information:

• Candidates in retail pharmacy roles will be considered for contract work while the infusion pharmacist position is filled
• No requirement to act as Pharmacist-in-Charge during the contract period, unless converted to permanent hire
• Willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities if permanent employment is offered
