Staff Pharmacist - Trussville, Alabama

A PRN Retail Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available to provide temporary coverage in a high-activity pharmacy setting starting November 1, 2026, for approximately two months. This role requires flexibility to work as needed, covering periods during the regular pharmacists absence, with schedules coordinated based on your availability.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed
  *Shifts and specific dates will be determined once assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and safety.
• Counsel patients and provide clear medication-related information.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations.
• Manage daily pharmacy activities during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license in good standing, without disciplinary issues.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with PioneerRx is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong ability to work independently and maintain professional standards in a retail pharmacy.
