Per Diem Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Turbeville, SC

An inpatient hospital pharmacist is needed for per diem coverage in Turbeville, SC. This role supports a 60-bed facility specializing in inpatient behavioral health. Coverage includes a combination of on-site shifts and remote on-call responsibilities, requiring flexibility and dedication to patient care.

Schedule & Coverage Details:

• Training week: September 21st
• September 26-27: On-call
• September 28 October 2: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• October 3-4: On-call
• October 5-9: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• October 10-11: On-call
• October 12-15: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
• Weekend on-call coverage with remote work when called upon (answering questions and verifying orders)

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage Omnicell medication refill and restocking processes
• Order medications and supplies from Cardinal
• Provide remote support during on-call shifts, including verification and consultation
• Participate in one day of required training prior to coverage start

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Active and clear South Carolina pharmacist license
• No prior experience required with Wellsky Order Entry System or Omnicell automationtraining provided
• Comfortable working independently, as no other pharmacy staff are on site
• Ability to respond effectively during behavioral inpatient pharmacy operations
