Staff Pharmacist - Ubly, Michigan

This full-time pharmacist role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, splitting your time between retail and hospital inpatient pharmacy settings. Located in close proximity to each other, the retail pharmacy accounts for about 70% of your duties, while the hospital inpatient pharmacy makes up the remaining 30%. You will work a consistent schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, including one weekday off and rotating weekends.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all pharmacy policies and standards, carefully reviewing medication orders for accuracy and safety, compounding intravenous medications following standard protocols, and providing expert answers to questions from both patients and healthcare staff. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Work will involve utilizing software systems including Pioneer RX for retail pharmacy operations and CPSI for hospital workflows, with a planned transition to EPIC software later this year. The pharmacy manages an average daily prescription volume of approximately 250, including service to local adult foster care homes and a long-term care facility.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Michigan pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; however, candidates eager to learn inpatient pharmacy practices are encouraged to apply
