Hospital Inpatient Staff Pharmacist in Vanderwagen, NM

Join a critical access hospital pharmacy team in Vanderwagen, NM, as an inpatient pharmacist on a contract basis. This role offers a valuable opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services in a smaller, focused healthcare environment with licensed beds totaling 25.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Potential on-call duties after hours
• 13-week contract with a chance for extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication delivery
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Pyxis for site automation
• Participate in sterile compounding as part of pharmacy services or potentially expand into this area
• Collaborate closely with a pharmacy team composed of one Director of Pharmacy, two pharmacists, and two technicians

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Demonstrated sterile compounding skills
• Current New Mexico pharmacy license
• Adaptability to critical access hospital environment
