Hospital Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Walker, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in Walker, LA is seeking experienced pharmacists for inpatient hospital positions on the 2nd shift. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers 13 weeks initially with the possibility of extension or direct hire, filling 3 to 4 openings. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with rotating weekends required.

The setting is a busy inpatient hospital with a census of 131 beds and typically 60 to 70 active beds. Pharmacists will utilize Epic for order entry and Pyxis automation systems to manage medication dispensing. While prior experience with Pyxis and Epic is preferred, training is available for candidates who demonstrate a strong inpatient background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately in an inpatient hospital environment
• Utilize Epic software for order entry and medication tracking
• Operate Pyxis automation systems for efficient drug dispensing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Work rotating weekends as scheduled

• Valid Louisiana pharmacy license
