Staff Pharmacist | Wappingers Falls, New York

An opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist specializing in behavioral health pharmacy to support a pharmacy serving patients with complex medication regimens. This role involves working approximately 12 days per week with flexible scheduling, as well as providing additional coverage during pharmacist PTO and vacation periods. The assignment is ongoing, making it ideal for those seeking consistent, part-time work in a focused clinical setting.

Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and safety
• Dispense medications safely and accurately
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients
• Support patients using behavioral health medications and manage complex therapies
• Communicate effectively with prescribers regarding medication-related concerns
• Assist with medication adherence and continuity of care
• Facilitate medication access and prior authorizations when needed
• Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation and records
• Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Ensure compliance with New York pharmacy regulations and internal policies

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New York Pharmacist license required
• Proven behavioral health pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health medications
• Skilled in managing complex medication regimens
• Competent in prescription verification and patient counseling
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Reliable and available for ongoing weekly work and additional coverage
