Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 2nd shift (1:00 pm 9:30 pm)
• Some Saturdays required
• 8-week contract duration with potential to transition to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify any over-usage patterns.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and proper management of patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medications, including usage instructions, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies efficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to resolve drug-related issues for optimal patient care.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin
• Pharmacy experience required; LTC experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of prescription handling, patient consultation, and pharmacy operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
