Staff Pharmacist | West Chester, Pennsylvania

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy in West Chester, PA is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity lasting 13 weeks. This role focuses on pharmacy fulfillment operations and patient care within a compounding setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing fulfillment personnel and daily operations during your shift, assisting with shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed, and ensuring that all prescriptions are processed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will ensure proper preparation and documentation of pharmaceutical products and provide direct patient care by reviewing medication histories and developing individualized therapeutic care plans. Patient education and monitoring drug therapies for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and effectiveness are key components of this role. Counseling patients on both prescription and over-the-counter medications, including nutritional supplements, is also part of the responsibilities.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience; newer graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy fulfillment processes and patient care principles
