Pharmacist in West Lafayette, IN
A pharmacy role is open for a motivated pharmacist to join a small, collaborative outpatient facility. This direct hire position offers an engaging Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM, providing a balanced workweek in a close-knit environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter, interpret, and review prescriptions
- Conduct drug utilization reviews and resolve issues
- Compound and dispense prescribed medications
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Ensure full compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
- Fill prescriptions for pharmaceutical preparations and devices
- Submit claims to third-party payers for reimbursement
- Consult with healthcare providers on pharmaceutical matters
- Address pharmaceutical inquiries from patients and staff
- Monitor the storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals
- Perform other duties as assigned within the pharmacy
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years of relevant pharmacy experience
- Active and unrestricted Indiana pharmacist license
- Clean criminal record with no felony convictions
- Openness to constructive feedback and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with a small, dedicated team of 1-2 technicians and a cashier
