Staff Pharmacist | White Plains, New York

A mid to evening shift Staff Pharmacist position is available at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Bardonia, New York. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic pharmacy environment with a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day. The role involves diverse responsibilities, including prescription verifications and compounding, with the facility providing training for IV preparation and non-sterile compounding, making this an excellent role for recent graduates eager to grow their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PV1 and PV2 prescription verifications accurately and efficiently
• Handle occasional EV kit preparations
• Prepare IV medications and engage in non-sterile compounding (training provided)
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and facility protocols
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New York Pharmacist license
• Recent pharmacy experience preferred; LTC experience is a plus but not required
• Open to new graduates ready to gain hands-on experience
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software systems (training available on Frameworks)

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Shift options: 11:00 AM 9:00 PM or 1:00 PM 11:00 PM
• Rotating Sundays are part of the schedule
