Retail Staff Pharmacist in Winamac, IN

A pharmacy position is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve in an outpatient hospital retail environment located in Winamac, IN. This role requires dedication to accuracy and security within a small pharmacy team and offers a contract duration of 8 to 13 weeks with consistent daytime hours.

Responsibilities include accurately filling prescriptions, verifying products prepared by pharmacy technicians before dispensing, and maintaining the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances. The pharmacist will also be responsible for entering orders and patient information using Pioneer RX software, with experience in this system preferred.

Schedule and Work Environment:

• 4 to 5 days per week, primarily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Preferred coverage includes Thursdays and Fridays each week
• Every other week requires Saturday coverage from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Work setting is outpatient hospital retail pharmacy
• Pharmacy team consists of a manager, one full-time pharmacist, and two full-time technicians

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Indiana pharmacy license
• Prior pharmacy experience required
• Experience with Pioneer RX order entry preferred
• Capability to maintain pharmacy security and comply with regulations
