Retail Staff Pharmacist | Winchester, Kentucky

A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support a busy, high-volume environment. With approximately 3,000 prescriptions processed weekly and strong technician support, this role is ideal for someone with recent retail experience and a dedication to accuracy and patient care.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with one to two Saturdays per month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Weekday staffing includes two pharmacists and five to six technicians, while Saturdays have one pharmacist and three to four technicians. The pharmacy uses PioneerRx as its dispensing system, enhancing workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying prescription accuracy and ensuring patient safety
• Providing clear counseling and answering medication-related inquiries
• Overseeing pharmacy workflow and technician support
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Assisting with Saturday shifts as scheduled

Desired qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx system is advantageous
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility for Saturday coverage (1-2 times per month)
