Per Diem Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist in Winston-Salem, NC

An immediate need exists for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to support a dynamic pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract opportunity offers flexible scheduling from April 27 through May 1, with additional shifts likely in the following weeks. Candidates with strong home infusion backgrounds and sterile compounding expertise will excel in this role. Retail pharmacists are also encouraged to apply for contract-only assignments while the search for an infusion pharmacist continues.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications under USP guidelines
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and document all procedures accurately
• Provide clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to sustain efficient workflow and optimize patient care

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice is required
• Proficient in sterile compounding practices with thorough understanding of USP standards
• Ability to work independently with a flexible and adaptable mindset
• Willingness to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge if transitioned to permanent hire (not required initially)

Schedule:

• Immediate availability from 4/27 to 5/1, covering as many days as possible
• Additional shifts expected, typically a few days per week
