IV Compounding IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist in Winston-Salem, NC

A specialty retail pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a contract to hire opportunity. This position focuses on both sterile and non-sterile compounding within a fast-paced retail environment. The shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The initial contract is 13 weeks with a strong possibility of direct hire.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications including non-sterile and sterile compounded products
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed following pharmacy protocols and safety regulations
• Process medication orders and assist with order entry using PK software (training provided)
• Ensure compliance with state pharmacy laws and company standards
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain inventory, quality control, and workflow efficiency

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license required
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail or compounding setting
• Experience with sterile compounding is highly desirable
• Non-sterile compounding background is a plus
• Familiarity or willingness to learn PK order entry system
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
