IV Sterile Compounding Retail Staff Pharmacist - Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A specialty retail pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to support their sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with a chance to transition into a permanent role, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break.

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience and a valid North Carolina pharmacy license. Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding is highly desired, though not required. Training will be provided for order entry using PK software, which is similar to QS1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately in a specialty retail setting with a focus on compounded prescriptions.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications following established protocols.
• Maintain compliance with state pharmacy laws and company policies.
• Enter prescription orders accurately and efficiently using PK software.
• Counsel patients on medication use and provide excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina.
• 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail or compounding.
• Experience with sterile compounding is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with non-sterile compounding procedures is beneficial.
• Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• One-hour lunch break
