A dynamic Patient Referral Coordinator position is available in the Syracuse, NY area, offering a hybrid work model after initial onsite training. This direct hire role supports infusion and enteral therapy services by managing the referral and authorization process to ensure seamless patient care.

Schedule:

• MondayFriday
• 8:30 AM5:00 PM EST
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training

Responsibilities:

• Process new infusion and enteral referrals from intake through initial review
• Gather necessary documentation and verify insurance coverage promptly
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations efficiently
• Communicate coverage details and financial obligations clearly to patients and their representatives
• Coordinate effectively with referral sources, hospital liaisons, pharmacy, nursing, billing, and branch teams to facilitate patient services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, referral logs, and authorization tracking systems
• Identify and recommend improvements to referral and intake workflows to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Business, Healthcare Services, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of payer requirements, billing processes, authorizations, and insurance coverage
• Exceptional computer proficiency, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Preferred: 2+ years of home care or infusion experience

This role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $22 to $26, reflecting experience and qualifications.
