LTC Pharmacy Technician Evenings - North Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
RPh on the Go is currently hiring for a Pharmacy Technician to join a growing long-term care pharmacy in North Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a key member of the pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to long-term care facility residents. Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to long-term care facility residents.
- Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals and nursing staff to ensure accurate medication administration.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, insurance billing, and documentation.
- Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Frameworks software preferred
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a long-term care or institutional setting.
- PTCB preferred, but not required
